Man taken to hospital with stab wounds after reports of serious assault in Clifton

A man was taken to hospital with 'stab wounds' after reports of a serious assault in Nottingham. Police were called to Donington Road in Clifton on Sunday night, December 4.

Emergency services were called to the scene before 11pm. A man, aged in his 40s, was taken to the hospital with stab wounds and remains in stable condition, police confirmed.

His injuries are not currently believed to be life-threatening or life-altering, the force said. Police are investigating the incident and have asked anyone who might have information to come forward.

Detective Constable Richard Doel, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Officers are continuing to investigate a serious assault on Donington Road, Clifton. Police were called to the road shortly before 11pm yesterday (Sunday 4 December), to reports a man had been injured. The man, aged in his 40s, was taken to hospital with stab wounds and remains in a stable condition.

"His injuries are not currently believed to be life-threatening or life-altering. This is an ongoing investigation, and we are working hard to track down the person or people involved.

“I want to reassure the public in the area that you will see more officers out on patrols in the area as we continue to investigate this isolated incident. I want to urge anyone with any information, no matter how small, to come forward and get in touch with us.”
