A motorcyclist was taken to hospital after a crash in Salford.
Emergency services, including police and paramedics, were called to the scene of the smash on Edward Avenue in the Weaste area at around 5.30pm yesterday afternoon (Monday). An air ambulance also landed nearby.
An eyewitness told the Manchester Evening News that the bike had reportedly collided with a lamppost. A spokesperson for the North West Ambulance Service said the rider - a man aged in his 20s - suffered a head injury.

He was taken to hospital in a land ambulance. The spokesperson said: "NWAS responded to a crash on Edward Avenue in Salford.
"A motorbike rider, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with a head injury by road. The air ambulance also responded."
