A man was taken to hospital following a two-car crash in East Kilbride yesterday.
The road was closed near Calderwood Square due to the smash shortly before 4.30pm.
Police and the Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS) were in attendance and the road reopened around 6pm.
The crash saw delays for drivers during the evening rush-hour with queues forming on the East Kilbride Expressway and towards the Kingsgate.
One witness posted on social media: "Two cars smashed at approach to traffic lights (going up hill) cars looked in bad shape."
Another wrote: "Fog was really heavy up there."
And one man added: "Police, ambulances and road closed, bus sent along motorway."
A Police Scotland source told us: "Around 4.20 pm on Tuesday (November 22), we received a report of a two-vehicle crash at Calderwood Square, East Kilbride.
"Police and SAS attended and one man was taken by ambulance to Hairmyres Hospital."
