A man has been taken to hospital after a major police incident in Glasgow's south side.
Emergency services were called to Calder Street in Govanhill around 12.05pm on Sunday following reports of a disturbance.
Police confirmed that the incident was 'contained' within a property on the street and posed no risk to the wider public.
The street was cordoned off while emergency services dealt with the disturbance.
Several police vehicles, fire appliances as well as ambulances lined the street and an armed response unit was also in the area throughout the day.
A man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH) and the road was reopened at around 5pm.
Enquiries to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident are currently ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers attended at a property on Calder Street in Glasgow following a report of a disturbance around 12.05pm on Sunday, 10 April, 2022.
“A man has been taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
"The incident was contained and there was no risk to the wider public.
“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and Calder Street has re-opened.”
