A man has been taken to hospital following a large-scale police 'disturbance' in Glasgow.
Emergency services rushed to the scene on Calder Street, Govanhill at around 12.05pm on Sunday, April 10.
The incident was linked to a property in a tenement block and armed police were also seen at the location.
Calder Street was cordoned off between Westmoreland Street and Langside Road, just next to Govanhill Library.
Several police vehicles, fire appliances as well as ambulances lined the street.
An armed response unit was also in the area throughout the day.
Police confirmed that the incident was contained to the flat and there was no risk to the wider public.
A man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH) following the disturbance which ended at around 5pm.
Calder Street has since re-opened and enquiries to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident are currently ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers attended at a property on Calder Street in Glasgow following a report of a disturbance around 12.05pm on Sunday, 10 April, 2022.
“A man has been taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
"The incident was contained and there was no risk to the wider public.
“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and Calder Street has re-opened.”
