A man has been taken to hospital after a two-car crash in an Ayrshire village.
Emergency services raced to the village of Sorn in East Ayrshire around 9.35am this morning after a two car smash on the Main Street.
Fire crews were spotted at the scene alongside police.
One man was taken to hospital as a precaution.
Another man was also issued with a fixed penalty notice.
The road was closed down for several hours but reopened again this afternoon.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "We were called to a report of a two-car crash on Main Street, Sorn around 9.35am on Wednesday, July 5, 2023.
“Emergency services attended and one person was taken to hospital as a precaution.”
“One man has been issued with a fixed penalty notice.
“The road has now re-opened.”
