A man has been rushed to hospital after a 'collision between a tram and a cyclist'.
Emergency services were called to Baguley Metrolink stop just before 3.30pm this afternoon (June 5) amid reports of a 'collision between a tram and a patient on a bicycle', North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) confirmed. A man believed to be in his 30s was taken to hospital and is understood to have sustained minor injuries.
Public transport on the Manchester Airport line was halted between the Roundthorn and Robinswood Road stops as paramedics and police officers dealt with the incident. Delays continue on the line as schedules return to normal.

A spokesperson for the ambulance service said: "NWAS was called to Baguley Metrolink stop at 3.27pm, the incident was reported as a collision between tram and patient on bicycle. An ambulance, advanced paramedic, and an air ambulance were sent to the scene.
"A patient has gone to hospital - a male, in his approximate 30s - with minor injuries."
There have been delays on the Metrolink's Manchester Airport line following the incident. Tickets are being accepted on local bus routes, traffic service Inrix has said.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson added: "There has been a collision between a cyclist and a tram on Southmoor Road. Police were made aware at around 3.40pm.
"[There has not been any] life-threatening or life-changing injuries, a male has been taken to hospital."
