A man was taken to hospital after being knocked down in Irvine town centre this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Bank Street at around 1.45pm where police say the victim was struck by a vehicle.
Two police vehicles and an ambulance were spotted at the corner of High Street and Bank Street, outside the Iceland supermarket. Access to Bank Street was temporarily blocked off.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 1.45pm on Friday, July 8, police were called to a report of a man struck by a vehicle on Bank Street, Irvine. Police attended and the man was taken to hospital to be checked over."
