A MAN was taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Glasgow.

999 crews were called to Edinburgh Road, in the city's East End, following the collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian yesterday morning.

Locals reported an ambulance, paramedics and police at the scene, near a car wash business.

The pedestrian who was hit by the car was rushed to hospital.

An investigation was launched and is ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 11.50am on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, we received a report of a crash involving a car and a male pedestrian.

"The pedestrian was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment. Enquiries are ongoing."
