A man has been left with serious injuries after a crash outside a pub.
On Sunday, June 4, Merseyside Police received a report of a collision involving a white Vauxhall Corsa and a blue Yamaha motorcycle on Liverpool Road in Thornton Hough close to the Red Fox pub.
The man riding the blue Yamaha motorcycle, a 40-year-old man from Wirral, was taken to hospital where he remains with serious injuries. Merseyside Police originally reported the Vauxhall driver was taken to hospital but this was incorrect.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with CCTV and dash camera footage that may have captured the incident to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Kurt Timpson from the Matrix Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “A 40-year-old man from Wirral remains in hospital following this incident whilst our officers continue their inquiries to establish what happened. Our investigation is in the early stages and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed this collision to please get in touch.
"We know that the Red Fox pub and function suite were busy and that due to the nice weather, there were plenty of people in the area. In addition, I would ask for anyone with CCTV or dash cameras to please check to see if they captured the incident. Every piece of information is important to help us establish what happened”.
