A man was taken to hospital after being hit by a bus in Bootle.
Merseyside Police were called to Stanley Road, Bootle at around 10.20am on Monday (April 3). A pedestrian in his 60s was hit by a bus near Bootle New Strand shopping centre.
He was taken to hospital with serious injuries that are not life-threatening. The driver stopped at the scene and assisted police with their enquiries.

An eyewitness, who wished to remain anonymous, told the ECHO that he saw a man "lying on the floor covered in blood" and an emergency services officer was kneeling down tending to him. An officer was seen scrubbing an area near to the kerb, where the casualty had been hit by the bus.
A significant cordon was in place on Stanley Road, at its largest stretching from the Barclays bank to the junction with Vermont Way. The cordon was lifted and the road reopened shortly before 2pm.
