A man struggled with a PCSO before she seized his e-bike from him.
Two Merseyside Police PCSOs were on patrol near Eastham Library, Wirral, on Tuesday, May 16, when they saw two people on electric bikes at the back of the building. As the officers approached the pair, one man rode away while the other struggled with the police officer.
The female officer, PCSO Holden, successfully seized the bike from the man and he ran away from the scene. Police are now appealing for information and CCTV footage to help identify the riders.

Inspector Dan Greenhalgh of Wirral Local Policing said: “We have seen a rise in youths riding motorbikes, scramblers and electric bikes, often in a dangerous manner which is a significant risk to the public and themselves. In some cases, these bikes are either stolen or used to deal drugs.
"We are continuing to target illegal bike use and theft of motorbikes using police tactics. With community support and information provided we will make arrests and seek prosecutions.
“I would advise owners of motorbikes and electric bikes to keep your vehicles securely locked and out of sight, and also be mindful of who is around when you are out riding them.”
