Man stabbed outside London Underground station in broad daylight rushed to hospital

A man has been stabbed in broad daylight outside a London Underground station in north-west London.

The incident occurred outside Queensbury Station in Edgware, where a man was found with stab wounds this afternoon.

Emergency services rushed to the scene on Queensbury Station Parade at 2.46pm.

Police cordoned off the area around as worried residents reported seeing a man lying on the ground being treated.

Paramedics treated the man at the scene and rushed him to a major trauma centre. The condition of the man isn't yet known, reports MyLondon.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 2.46pm today (19 August) to reports of a stabbing on Queensbury Station Parade, Edgware.

“We sent a number of resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic, a medic in a fast response car and an incident response officer.

“We treated a man at the scene and took them, as a priority, to a major trauma centre.”

Bus routes have been affected including the 79, 114 and 288.

Last week a man was stabbed to death in a side road near London’s Oxford Street, the Metropolitan Police said.

Emergency services were called to the scene earlier today and found a man with stab wounds.

Tragically the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

At the time, the full statement by police said: "At 11:40hrs on Monday, August 15, police were called to reports of a stabbing in Poland Street, W1.

"Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance. A man was found with stab wounds.

"Despite the best efforts of the emergency services he was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:20hrs. His identity has yet to be confirmed."

A man was arrested in connection with the incident.
