A man was rushed to hospital after being stabbed several times in a vicious attack at a city centre residence.
The incident took place in an apartment block on Poolbeg Street on Saturday evening.
Neighbours were horrified to find blood stains left on the walls in the aftermath of the assault, Dublin Live understands.
The man, who is in his 20s, was rushed to St James' Hospital - and, thankfully, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
A garda spokesman said: "Gardai are investigating an assault which occurred at a residence on Poolbeg Street on Saturday, 12 February 2022.
"Gardai were alerted to the incident just after 6.30pm. A male (20s) received a number of apparent stab wounds and was taken to St James’ Hospital to receive treatment. His injuries are understood to not be life-threatening.
"No arrests have been made. Investigations ongoing."
