Man stabbed in the neck on Victoria line train after shopping in Sainsbury's

A man was stabbed in the neck on an Underground train between Vauxhall and Pimlico stations.

British Transport Police officers were called to Pimlico at roughly 8.30am on Sunday to reports the man had been stabbed.

The man was taken by ambulance to hospital where he is being treated for what is believed to be a non-life-threatening injury.

Earlier in the morning the man had been shopping with a friend at Sainsbury’s at Vauxhall Underground station.

Police also want to speak to this man. (BTP)

The friends then boarded a northbound Victoria Line train to Pimlico when they were confronted by two men they’d seen earlier in the station.

Detectives are appealing for the public’s help in identifying two men they believe they may be able to help with their investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016, or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 151-171223. Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
