A man was rushed to hospital after being stabbed inside a property in the early hours of the morning.
Officers were called to Cambridge Road, Ellesmere Port, shortly before 4am on Monday (August 5). A 41-year-old man was found inside a property on the road, having sustained injuries to his head and stomach, and was taken to Aintree Hospital.
A 52-year-old man was arrested at the property on suspicion of section 18 wounding with intent and is currently in police custody awaiting questioning. Cheshire Police is now appealing to members of the public to come forward with information, CCTV or dash cam footage that could assist with its investigation.

Detective Sergeant Graeme Carvell, of Ellesmere Port local policing unit, said: “We are continuing to piece together the timeline of the assault and are urging members of the public to contact us with information. I would also ask residents and nearby businesses to check CCTV footage and for motorists to check their dash cam.
“Any information you can provide – no matter how small – could be really useful to our investigation.”
