A man was stabbed in a Liverpool city centre McDonald's while trying to break up a fight.
Police were called to the McDonald's on Ranelagh Street after reports a man had been stabbed in the arm. At the scene they found the victim, in his 20s, had been injured and needed medical assistance.
It was reported the victim had tried to step in to stop a fight between two men he did not know, before he was stabbed. The two men then ran from the scene.

An investigation has been launched and, following CCTV enquiries, police have released a picture of a man who they believe could have information to help their investigation into the incident, at around 11.30pm on Saturday, February 4. Detective Inspector Chris Saidi said: "We are keen to trace the man pictured as we believe he could have information which is vital to our enquiries.
"There would have been a lot of people inside the premises during this time, so if you witnessed this incident please come forward and help us to remove dangerous weapons and those who use them from our streets. Whether you let us know directly, or anonymously, through Crimestoppers, please contact us and we will take action.
