A man was stabbed in the buttocks outside a busy pub in Anfield as people drank inside.
Police were contacted at just after 5.15pm on Friday following reports a man had been assaulted on Walton Breck Road. When emergency services attended, they found a man in his 40s with puncture wounds to his buttocks.
The man is being checked by paramedics but his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

A police cordon was in place outside the Flat Iron pub's Anfield Road entrance until shortly before 7pm. A police car and van were also at the scene, but people remained inside the Flat Iron pub while officers were in attendance.
The cordon was removed and officers left the area shortly before 6.50pm. A police investigation is underway, as CCTV and witness enquiries are being carried out.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police told the ECHO: "We were contacted at just after 5.15pm today, Friday 1st April, following reports a man had been assaulted on Walton Breck Road. Emergency services attended and found a man in his 40s with puncture wounds to his buttocks.
"The man is currently being checked over by paramedics. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
