Man 'stabbed' after mass brawl breaks out on Scots street as three rushed to hospital

A man was stabbed after a mass brawl broke out on a Scots street last night.

Emergency services raced to Shettleston Road and Pettigrew Street in Glasgow after the alarm was raised at around 7.10pm on Sunday. The rammy involved a number of people and three men - aged 26, 25 and 22 - were rushed to hospital for treatment.

It's understood one of the men suffered stab wounds. The condition of the three men is currently unknown but their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

One local said: "There was a large police presence with an area cordoned off. Ambulance crews were in attendance too.

"Police were at the scene just off Shettleston Road behind the Marquis Bar."

Another said: "A guy was stabbed after a street brawl. It happened right outside my house. It was horrible."

Police say their enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a disturbance involving a number of people in the Shettleston Road and Pettigrew Street area of Glasgow around 7.10pm on Sunday, 27 February.

“Three men, aged 26, 25 and 22, were taken to hospital for treatment to non-life threatening injuries. Enquiries are ongoing.”
