(Picture: @instamfordhill)A man withdrawing cash from a high street bank was slashed in the back of the head by a mask-wearing robber.
The thief got away with “a substantial” amount of cash after following his victim into the Barclays Bank in Stamford Hill, north London at 11.45am on Wednesday.
The victim was rushed to a north London hospital where his head injuries needed stitches but were deemed not life-threatening.
Volunteer police force Shomrim said: “A customer inside the bank was attacked after withdrawing a large amount of money, the offender made off with the money.”

A Scotland Yard spokesman said:” Officers were called to reports of an assault inside commercial premises on Stamford Hill, N16.
“Officers attended and found a man suffering with head injuries.
“He received laceration to the back of his head and superficial injuries requiring stitches.
“It has been established that the victim also had a substantial amount of money stolen and at this early stage, there have been no arrests and enquiries continue.”
