Police comb scene after man shot multiple times
Officers are carrying out extensive searches after a man was shot in Liverpool yesterday.
The victim, in his 20s, went to Royal Liverpool University Hospital with serious injuries after being shot in the chest and arms.
Police have since confirmed while his injuries are described as 'serious' he is in a stable condition.

Initial enquires found that the man was shot on The Green, in Broadgreen, close to a small field and walking path known as Rocket Green, at around 9pm on Sunday, January 16.
A police search team has been spotted this morning doing a detailed search of the patch of grass.

Nurse on Universal Credit left £600 short every month after paying for childcare
Every month for the past six months, a single mum on Universal Credit has been left hundreds of pounds short due to a delay in reimbursing childcare costs since she returned to work as a nurse after a "complicated pregnancy".
Abbie Hogarth, 37, suffered severe pelvic pain that put her in hospital and left her unable to stand without crutches before the premature birth of her baby who then had multiple health scares, including jaundice.
During the pregnancy, Abbie discovered her husband of two years, who she'd been with for 13, was having a six-year affair with a woman he then left her for.

She said she turned to Universal Credit as her household income was more than halved after the divorce, and she's working reduced hours so she can care for her kids, all the while trying to pay off a mortgage and save up for a new one.
Abbie, from Ellesmere Port, told the ECHO: "I'm working my backside off trying to save for a mortgage for a better house in a nicer area for myself and my children.

Piers Morgan's TV return leads people to immediately switch off
Piers Morgan has returned to breakfast television for the first time since storming off Good Morning Britain last year.
The 56-year-old appeared alongside Sophie Raworth on yesterday's edition of BBC's Sunday Morning show.
The broadcaster quit the ITV programme in March 2021 after making controversial comments about Meghan Markle.

Mr Morgan marked his TV comeback by referencing the incident, which prompted 54,595 Ofcom complaints.
He said: "I haven’t been on breakfast television for nearly a year, it feels weird but sort of nice.
"My one question for you is: Am I allowed to have an opinion? Because that was the problem last time."
