Gardai have made an arrest after a man was shot in the face last week.
The horrific incident happened in the Cherrywood Grove area of Clondalkin, west Dublin on Friday.
Emergency services rushed to the scene around 5pm and the victim - a man aged in his 20s - was taken to Tallaght Hospital for treatment.

His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
A man aged in his 30s was arrested on Monday afternoon in connection with the shooting.
He is currently detained in Clondalkin Garda Station under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007 and gardai say investigations are ongoing.
Gardai previously launched an appeal for witnesses.
A spokesperson said on Friday: “Investigating gardai are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident to come forward. In particular, anyone who was in the Cherrywood Grove area of Clondalkin and surrounding roads between 5pm – 5.30pm and anyone who may have been in Corkagh Park at these times on Friday and who may have information is asked to come forward.
"Any road users with camera footage are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardai.”
