Man shot in Olivia Pratt-Korbel murder arrested
A man has been arrested by officers investigating the murder of Olivia Pratt-Korbel.
The 35-year-old man who was also shot during the fatal attack, has been arrested by Merseyside police. The man, who remains in hospital, is under arrest for breaking his licence conditions.
Speaking at raids linked to gun crime in the city, Detective Chief Superintendent Mark Kameen said: “We’re now talking about the murder of Olivia. I can tell you the male I discussed at the press conference yesterday, who had been shot at and chased into the home address of Cheryl and Olivia, has now been arrested.

“That’s not in relation to the murder of Olivia per say. The reason for that arrest is for breach of his existing licence conditions. The nature of that beach is for poor behaviour. He remains in hospital, and last update he was in a stable condition”

Moment nine hour armed siege at bungalow ended
The moment police made their move to end a nine-hour armed siege was caught on video.
Officers charged a bungalow on the Uplands in Palacefields, Runcorn on Thursday, August 18. Two suspects - a man and a woman - were brought out a short time later.
Crowds of bystanders gathered to watch the stand-off from beyond a cordon. Cheshire Police reported during the siege the two occupants - a man and a woman - had refused to leave the property. Figures in a waterproof jacket could be seen trying to negotiate with the two.

Woman remains critically ill after being hit by suspected drug driver
A woman remains in hospital fighting for her life after being hit by a suspected drug driver.
The pedestrian in her 30s was was hit by a Ford Focus on Hale Road close to the junction with Liverpool John Lennon Airport in Speke on Monday, August 22. Ambulance crews took the woman to hospital with serious head injuries after the crash, at around 11.45pm.
A woman, who did not want to be named, told the ECHO: "We were in bed and the dogs were upstairs barking, I was trying to keep them quiet. The next thing we heard someone shouting 'help, help.'"
