Keeping cool in the current weather can feel like an impossible task. For many, remaining hydrated just won't do the trick.
There are a number of ways to keep a home cool, but since air conditioning is often not an option in the UK people may have to get creative.
Thankfully a TikTok user @noahxboa, who shares specialises in tips, tricks and guidance that you won't get in school, has provided some of his top house-cooling hacks.
In the clip, he suggests hanging a wet sheet over your window at night to get some cool air around the house while sleeping.
He said: "In the evening when it does get colder, open the window and hang a wet sheet over it.
"It will blow cold air into your room."
He also shared a way to cool your duvet right down, which should help you get some sleep at night. In the video he said: "Remove your duvet from your bedding and throw the sheets into the freezer for when you go to bed. This is so cold!"
To make sure that you don't accidentally freeze your sheets, or get them soggy, it may be worthwhile putting them into a shopping bag or bin bag.
He had other tips to help you stay cool through the warm weather, and advised that you keep the sun out of your home as much as you can. He said: "Shut the blinds and the curtains during the day, it keeps the heat out."
He also has a fan hack that offers makeshift air-con, saying: "put a bowl of ice in front of that fan. Whoa that's way colder!"
The video has more than half a million likes as well as 2,300 comments from viewers. Noah's clip has been viewed a whopping 3.5 million times.
Viewers were impressed with the advice that Noah had to share, with one saying: "Bro knows everything about everything".
Another said: "I see this at 2:43 in the morning and I can’t sleep, cheers mate", while a third praised Noah, saying: "i’m so happy i found this".
Others weren't too keen on the mattress freezing trick, with one commenter saying that it was actually too cold for them. They commented: "will never do the freezer one again it may be 40 degrees or something but that was way too cold".
