Man 'shaken' after being attacked and robbed in Alexandria

A man has been left “shaken” after two men robbed him on a pathway in Alexandria.

The 23-year-old victim was attacked and suffered a minor injury after being robbed of cash and personal possessions at the ‘the Rickety Moss’ between Auchencarroch Road and Arthurston Road in Jamestown.

Detectives are appealing for information over the incident, which took place on Thursday, June 2 at around 5.50pm.

The suspects are described as being white men, in the mid-to-late 20s.

One was wearing a white t-shirt and grey joggers, whilst the other was wearing a white t-shirt and black joggers.

They are believed to have ran in the direction of Arthurston Road and into the Haldane area.

Detective Constable Stuart Lindsay, from Clydebank CID, said: “Thankfully the victim was not badly injured, but he was left shaken by this attack.

“The Rickety Moss area is known to be used by local dog walkers and I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and witnessed anything suspicious, or potentially saw anyone matching the descriptions of the suspects, to please come forward.

“I am also keen to speak with anyone who lives nearby and may have potential private CCTV of the area.”

Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101, quoting incident 3333 of 2 June, 2022.

Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.
