Police officers in Renfrewshire are appealing for information about a disturbance following a car crash in Johnstone.
The incident – which saw one man seriously assaulted – happened at 2.30pm on Thursday.
The fight broke out after two cars crashed in the Elm Drive area of the town where the 21-year-old man was seriously injured.
He was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley for treatment to serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Detective Constable Jade Clark of Paisley police station said the disturbance involved a number of people from the vehicles.
She said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we are working to establish the full circumstances and identify the people involved in this incident.
“Our enquiries suggest other people were in the area at the time of the incident and they may have dashcam or mobile phone footage which could help our investigation.
