Man seriously injured following early morning crash in Aberdeenshire

Police are appealing for information after a man was seriously injured on one of Scotland's busiest roads this morning.

The 62-year-old's vehicle left the A90 and struck a wall shortly after 8am on Monday February 21.

The white Vauxhall Grandland was travelling northbound on the A90 Aberdeen to Ellon road when the incident occurred.

Emergency services raced to the scene following reports of the incident.

The man was rushed to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment where staff describe his injuries as serious.

A section of the busy carriageway was closed to allow for a full police investigation to take place.

Road Policing Sergeant Steve Manson said: "Our enquires into the collision are at an early stage, however, I am looking for anyone who witnessed the collision to get in touch.”

"I am also looking to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time of the collision and has either seen the vehicle or may have inadvertently caught the vehicle on dashcam prior to the collision to get in touch."

Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0512 of Monday, 21 February, 2022.
