A man was stabbed in broad daylight in a town on the Nottinghamshire border. Officers were called to the scene in Stapleton Road, Ilkeston, after reports of the incident at around 11.30am on Tuesday, May 9.
A man in his 40s was found with stab wounds at the scene and is currently being treated at hospital, reports Derbyshire Live. Although the injuries are serious, they are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
Officers at Derbyshire police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward. They are particularly keen to speak to any drivers who were in the area between 10.30am and 11.30am on the day.
