Man seriously injured after crashing into parked cars and skip in Swansea residential area

A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a late-night crash in Swansea. The collision happened on Townhill Road in the Mayhill area of the city at around 10.30pm on Thursday night.

The incident saw a car collide with three other parked cars and a skip at the side of the road. The driver sustained serious injuries in the crash and was taken to hospital, where he remains. You can keep up to date with the latest Swansea news by signing up to the local newsletter here.

Police are now appealing for information and are calling on any witnesses who may have seen the incident, or who may have footage of it, to get in contact with them.

A spokesman for South Wales Police said: “Officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Townhill Road, Mayhill, at around 10.30pm last night (Thursday July 21).

"A black Vauxhall Zafira collided with three unoccupied parked cars and a skip. The driver of the Vauxhall, a 23 year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Anyone with information or footage of the incident, or anyone who saw the manner in which the Vauxhall Zafira was being driven prior to the incident, is asked to contact us quoting reference number 2200244878."
