Man seriously injured after car falls down embankment in Brecon Beacons

A man has suffered serious injuries after a car went down an embankment in the Brecon Beacons, police have said. The incident partially closed the A470 between Storey Arms and Brecon for hours on Sunday afternoon from 2pm until 9.50pm for accident investigation work to take place.

After his red Ford Fiesta car left the road and fell down the embankment the man driving the car was taken to hospital. The police described his injuries as “serious”.

Conditions had been poor for driving at the time of the incident with heavy rain falling in the area on Sunday afternoon. In a statement a Dyfed Powys Police spokesperson appealed for help with investigations into the incident.
