A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after an 'altercation' near a pub on Cheetham Hill Road.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the incident just before 6am this morning (Saturday). They found the 23-year-old man seriously injured, police said.
He was taken to hospital where he remains for treatment. Three men - aged between 24 and 30 - have been arrested on suspicion of assault.

They remain in custody to be quizzed by detectives. The Manchester Evening News understands the incident was not believed to be a stabbing.
This morning, a stretch of Cheetham Hill Road remains taped off by officers. An area outside the Derby Brewery Arms is cordoned off.
Detectives and uniformed officers have been pictured on the scene, with investigations being carried out within the cordon. The cordon also extends onto Bent Street, behind the pub and shops.
Any witnesses, or anyone with information, is being urged to come forward. In a statement, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "Just before 6am this morning (Saturday 29 April 2023), officers were called to reports of an altercation on Cheetham Hill Road in the north of Manchester.
"A 23-year-old man has suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital for treatment. Three men between the ages of 24 and 30 have been arrested on suspicion of assault and remain in custody for questioning.
"Anyone with information is to contact Manchester North division CID on 0161 856 1146 quoting incident 683 of 29/4/2023. Alternatively, you can report information anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
