Man 'seriously assaulted' after early morning attack in Falkirk

A man has been left badly injured after being seriously assaulted in Falkirk.

Emergency services were called reports of an attack on Abbotsford Drive in Laurieston at around 1:15am this morning, Friday June 10.

A 58-year-old man was later rushed to Forth Valley Royal Hospital for treatment.

The extent of his injuries are unknown at this stage.

Detectives are now looking for two male suspects are described as being aged between 18 and 24.

Detective Inspector Will Harley, of Forth Valley CID, said: "One man has sustained serious injuries and our enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

"We appeal to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident or who may have witnessed what happened to get in touch.

"We would also urge anyone with dashcam footage or private CCTV that could assist our investigation to contact officers.

"Anyone with any information is asked to contact police via 101 quoting incident 0188 of 10 June. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous."
