A man screamed at a woman as he hid in a bush.
Officers from the Ellesmere Port branch of Cheshire Police posted on Facebook to warn people living near the area of Mill Lane of the unnerving incident. Police said they received a report of a man hiding in the bushes near the bottom of Mill Lane, by the footbridge leading to Valley View.
As a woman walked down the bath, the man hiding shouted "is this your coat?" and police believe the man was trying to get the woman to approach his location. Officers urged people to be "vigilant" if walking in this area.

A spokesperson also said they are trying to identify the man and find a motive. They also urged people not to approach the man and contact police as soon as possible.
In a statement, Cheshire Police said: "We have had a report of a male hiding in the bushes near the bottom of Mill Lane, Ellesmere Port by the footbridge leading to Valley View. He shouted to a female walking by 'is this your coat?' we believe trying to get her to approach his location.
Please be vigilant while at this location. Until we establish his identity and motive you are urged not to approach this male and to contact police as soon as possible."
