The death of a middle-aged man remains a mystery after post-mortem tests came back inconclusive.
The body of Stephen Kent, 55, was found at his home on Dewsbury Road, Anfield, on March 16, 2022.
A post-mortem examination carried out by a pathologist on April 7 was unable to determine his cause of death due to the amount of time which had lapsed following his death.

At an inquest today, October 10, coroner André Rebello said: "He (the pathologist) couldn't, because of post-mortem changes, find any pathological or toxological or histological evidence that would explain the cause of death. In the circumstances, because of changes between the actual event of death and Mr Kent's post-mortem, the cause of death was given as unascertained."
Handing down an open conclusion, he said: "Stephen Kent was found having died on March 16, 2022 at Dewsbury Road, Liverpool. At a post-mortem examination on April 7, no cause of death could be determined.
"There's nothing suspicious or unnatural about the death, but we don't know what the cause of death is."
