A body has been found during the search for a missing hiker who vanished while scaling Ben Nevis two days ago.
Zekun Zhang, 26, had last been seen at 1pm on Tuesday, April 11, near the summit of nearby Carn Mor Dearg. It is believed he walked a route from the peak and on to Ben Nevis.
The hillwalker planned to go back the mountain's north face, but following his ascent he did not return and had not been heard from since.
Cops previously put out an appeal asking for anyone with information to come forward, in particular anyone who was walking in the area at the time.
However, a Police Scotland spokesperson said today that the body of a man had been discovered around 3.30pm on Thursday on Ben Nevis.
While the person was yet to be formally identified, Zekun's family had been informed.
Inspector Ross McCartney said : “I would like to thank all mountain rescue teams that assisted with the search.”
