A woman has been arrested after a man was stabbed in St Helens.
Emergency Services were called to an address on Gillars Green Drive in Eccleston at around 12.30pm on December 24. A man was rushed to hospital with a serious injury to his thigh but police have since confirmed he is in a stable condition.
Merseyside Police said that a 53-year-old woman from St Helens was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been taken into custody where she will be questioned by detectives.

On Christmas Eve, a police cordon was seen in place as police carried out their enquiries. An investigation is underway and a scene has been held on Gillars Green Drive while CCTV, witness and forensic enquiries are carried out.
