Man rushed to hospital after huge brawl in Scots town as cars seen speeding from scene

A man was rushed to hospital after a mass brawl broke out in Hamilton after a gang of yobs leapt from a car and attacked another group. Cops raced to Tinto View in the Lanarkshire town at around 9pm on Thursday, November 30, following the huge rammy.

Police Scotland have launched a probe into the scrap, which they say involved between 12 and 18 men. A number of men were stood together on the street when a silver-coloured car drove up and several other men got out and a fight ensued.

A 42-year-old man was injured in the disturbance and was rushed to Wishaw Hospital, He has since been released.

Three vehicles - a silver-coloured hatchback or estate car, a white transit van and another hatchback - were seen speeding off after the incident. The cars appeared to be travelling in convoy and all were driving at speed along Silverton Hill Avenue.

Cops said it's unclear if all the occupants in the vehicles were involved in the violent altercation, but have asked anyone with information - or footage of the incident - to come forward.

Detective Constable Cameron Owen said: "I would ask any motorists, particularly those with dash cams, who were in the area around 9pm to pass on any images captured as the footage could assist our investigation. We are continuing to check other relevant CCTV footage for additional information of those involved.

"Just because they were not arrested on the night does not mean they have got away with it. If anyone has any information, no matter how insignificant it seems, please pass it on."

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 3251 of November 30, 2022. Alternatively, please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be given anonymously.
