Man rushed to hospital after horror attack on Scots street as cops cordon off scene

A man has been rushed to hospital after a horror attack on a Scots street.

Emergency services scrambled to Hayton Road in Aberdeen after the alarm was raised at around 1.15pm on Monday. Officers were responding to a report of a man being assaulted on the street.

Ambulance crews attended and the 27-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment. His condition is currently unknown.

A picture taken from the scene showed the area cordoned off with several officers in attendance. Police say their enquiries into establishing the full circumstances of the incident are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 1.15 pm on Monday, December 19, police received a report of a man having been assaulted in Hayton Road, Aberdeen.

"Officers attended and the 27-year-old man was taken by ambulance to hospital. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident."
