A man has been rushed to hospital after a hit and run collision on a Scots road.
Emergency services scrambled to the A7 at Ladhope Vale, near Galashiels interchange, at around 9:30pm on Sunday, February 6.
A 38-year-old pedestrian was rushed to hospital after being struck by a 'small red car'.
The car had initially stopped but then fled the scene.
Cops are hunting the driver responsible and are urging anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A hit and run road traffic collision occurred around 9:30 pm on Sunday 6th February on the A7, Ladhope Vale near to the Galashiels interchange.
"A 38-year-old male pedestrian sustained an injury requiring hospital treatment after being struck by a small red car. The car initially stopped but thereafter left the scene.
"If you believe you have any relevant dash-cam footage capturing the incident or you have information regarding the incident, then please come forward.
"Those with information can contact Police on 101 and quote incident number 3374 of 6th February 2022. Alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
