A man has been rushed to hospital following a 'slashing' in Glasgow.
Emergency services scrambled to Crookston Road in the city after the alarm was raised at around 9.10pm on Monday September 5. Ambulance crews attended and a 50-year-old man was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment following what was described as a 'serious assault'.
The condition of the man is currently unknown. Officers quickly cordoned off a large area of the street as they launched a probe into the incident.
A local resident said: "There were loads of police and a few ambulances at the bottom of Crookston Road at the Scotmid.
"The entrance to the wee carpark was all taped off by police after someone was slashed."
Police say their enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers received a report that a 50-year-old man was seriously assaulted in Crookston Road in Glasgow at around 9.10pm on Monday, September 5.
"Emergency services attended and he was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. Enquiries are ongoing."
