A man has been taken to hospital following a crash on a Lanarkshire road this afternoon.
Emergency services remain at the scene after police closed off the A71 junction between Ashgillhead Road and Burnhead Road in Larkhall.
The collision involved a car and a motorcycle at around 1.25pm today.
Diversions around the area have been put in place while police deal with the incident.
One man involved was rushed to hospital and is receiving treatment. His condition is not currently known.
A Police Scotland spokesperson told Lanarkshire Live: “Around 1.25pm on Monday, 13 February, 2023, police were called to the Ashgillhead Road area of Larkhall, following a crash involving a car and a motorcycle.
"One man has been taken to hospital for treatment and emergency services remain at the scene.”
South Lanarkshire Council have notified locals of the incident and the road closure.
They posted: "The Police have closed the A71 at junction Ashgillhead Road/Burnhead Road due to an accident.
"Diversion being set up via surrounding Larkhall and Ashgill Road network."
