A man was rushed to hospital after being slashed across the face.
Merseyside Police rushed to Broadway in Norris Green at 4.35pm on Wednesday, September 21, following reports of a man being found injured in the street. Once at the scene officers found a man in his 20s with a slash wound on his face.
The North West Ambulance Service was called to the scene and the man was rushed to hospital, where he remains. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

A cordon is in place outside Shiraz Barbers and police remain at the scene as enquiries continue to establish where the incident took place.
A spokesperson from Merseyside Police said: "We are investigating following reports a man was assaulted in the Norris Green area this afternoon. We were contacted at 4.35pm following reports the man, in his 20s, had been found on Broadway with a slash injury to his face.
"He has been taken to hospital for treatment for his injury which is not believed to be life threatening. An investigation is underway and enquiries are ongoing to establish where the incident took place and witnesses spoken to."
