Man rushed to hospital after being attacked by group of thugs with weapons in Glasgow

A man has been rushed to hospital after he was attacked by a group of unknown men wielding weapons near Tollcross.

The incident happened on Cuthelton Street at around 10.15pm on Sunday, April 30.

A 30-year-old man suffered serious injuries following the unprovoked attack and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

He was assaulted by three or four men who have been described as being white, in their 30s, and dressed in all dark clothing.

Officers are now appealing for information which may help them with their ongoing enquiries.

Detective Constable Gill Burns of Shettleston Police Station said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the assault or noticed anything suspicious in the area, to contact us.

“You can call 101, quoting incident 3959 of Sunday, 30 April, 2023. Alternatively, calls can be made anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
