A man was rescued after falling down an embankment on Wednesday afternoon (June 28).
Emergency services were called to Edinburgh Way in Rochdale around 1.30pm near to where the man had fallen. Police, fire, and ambulance crews were seen in Sandbrook Park while they dealt with the incident.
The fire service confirmed that they were called to rescue a man who had fallen down an embankment. They said they used line rescue equipment to reach the man who was then taken to hospital by the ambulance service.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: "At around 1:30pm this afternoon (Wednesday 28 June), two fire engines from Rochdale fire station and the Technical Response Unit from Ashton-under-Lyne were called to attend Edinburgh Way, Rochdale, where a person had fallen down an embankment. Firefighters used line rescue equipment to reach the man and bring him up before transferring him into the care of paramedics from North West Ambulance Service.
"Crews worked alongside colleagues from NWAS and Greater Manchester Police at the scene and were in attendance for around an hour and a half."
