A man ran out of a JD Sports store after being threatened by thugs.
The man, who is in his 50s, ran from the store to try and escape, with Merseyside Police saying he was "shaken" by the incident.
Merseyside Police confirmed two men were arrested after the incident and they carried out searches on two properties.

The man was threatened in the Birkenhead town centre branch of the sports store at around 1.50pm on February 1.
Police's searches led officers to discover cannabis, an electric bike which was suspected to be stolen and a machete at one property, while cannabis, another electric bike and a significant quantity of cash were discovered in the second.
A 27-year-old man from Beechwood, Wirral was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill and possession of a class B controlled drug - cannabis.
A 33-year-old man from Bidston was also arrested on suspicion of making threats to kil l, possession of a class B controlled drug.
Both men were bailed with conditions.
Yesterday police received reports of another, unrelated, incident on the Beechwood Estate at around 4.10pm.
Police were called to Fifth Avenue after two young people reportedly threw rocks at a member of the public.
When officers arrived, the yobs turned their attention to threatening the Police Community Support Officer resulting in more officers to be called to the scene.
A man who was with the young people at yesterday's incident also threatened the officer and caused damage to a police car.
A 41-year-old man from Birkenhead was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence and criminal damage. He was taken into custody and has since been released under investigation.

“Our officers patrol Birkenhead 365 days a year in order to keep people safe, and will bring anyone who brings fear and intimidation to our streets to justice.
“We have a range of tools at our disposal in order to disrupt offenders, including stop searches, dispersal zones, warrants and land searches.
“We target patrols according to intelligence we receive, so if you witness any anti-social or threatening behaviour in your area, please let us know and we will take action.
