Man racially abused at pub in Bishopsworth

A person was allegedly racially abused in a Bristol pub. Avon and Somerset Police has released an image of a man officers would like to speak to in relation to the incident.

The reported racially aggravated public order incident took place in The Tythings Pub, in Queens Road, Bishopsworth, at around 9.20pm on Friday, March 17. Officers believe the man pictured has information which could aid their investigation.

The man is white and has short hair. He is pictured wearing a black jacket, grey tracksuit bottoms and a navy blue cap.

Police said in a public appeal: "Officers would like to speak to the man pictured in relation to an incident on Friday 17 March as we believe he has information which could aid our investigation."

They added: "The incident was in The Tythings Pub, in Queens Road, Bishopsworth, at around 9.20pm. The victim was in the pub when they were racially abused by an unknown man.

"If you can help us identify the person pictured, or saw the incident have information which may assist our investigation, please call us. If you can help, please call 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5223063152, or complete our online appeals form."
