A major emergency services response was triggered after a man was found in difficulty in the Maryhill canal.
Police, ambulance, and firefighters were called to the scene off Maryhill Road around 8.20am on Tuesday morning after the alarm was raised.
Two fire engines and two water rescue teams were brought in to retrieve the male casualty from the water. He was eventually brought to safety and taken into the care of paramedics.

A spokesperson for Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were alerted at 8.28am on Tuesday, 26 July to reports of a person in difficulty within the canal off Maryhill Road, Glasgow.
"Operations Control mobilised two appliances and two water rescue teams to the scene, where crews assisted a male casualty by removing him from the water and handing him into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service."
A spokesperson for Police Scotland added: "We were made aware of a person in the canal, near Maryhill Road in Glasgow around 8.25am on Tuesday, 26 July, 2022.
"They have been recovered safely with the assistance of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service."
