A man was 'pulled' from a burning car after it exploded it on busy Scots road.
Emergency services were called to the scene near a roundabout on Strathmartine Road in Dundee at around 12.40pm on Wednesday May 18.
A dramatic picture from the incident shows the motor completely engulfed in flames.
Onlookers speaking online described seeing a man being 'pulled' to safety from the burning car after it 'exploded' before emergency crews arrived.
One man said: "Car explodes into flames at 5-way roundabout on Strathmartine Road.
"Person(s) pulled to safety.
"Fire brigade extinguished fire. Well done to all emergency services."
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spent an hour tackling the blaze.
A spokesperson for Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We received a call regarding a vehicle on fire at 12:40pm on Wednesday, May 18.
"One appliance attended and one hose reel jet and one breathing apparatus was used.
"The fire was extinguished and crews were away within an hour.
"There were no reported casualties."
