A man has died from a suspected drowning after his body was pulled from a popular swimming hole at Sydney's Royal National Park.

Emergency services were called to Winifred Falls an hour south of Sydney just after 2.30pm on Monday after reports of a drowning.

Police and paramedics found the man unresponsive after being pulled from the water.

The man, believed to be in his 20s, was unable to be revived.

He is yet to be formally identified and police have established a crime scene.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
