Man pretends to be a dog to scare postman through video doorbell - and it works

A dad pranked his postman by pretending to be a dog to scare him as he delivered his letters - and it's all been captured on his Ring doorbell.

Ian Whitehouse grabbed hold of the post and made a growling sound as he popped them through the letterbox.

The duped postie was so convinced he told a passing neighbour that the dog had nearly nibbled his fingers off.

In the hilarious footage, the pony-tailed Royal Mail worker could be seen approaching 38-year-old Ian’s front door in Bolton, Lancashire.

He then scanned a letter before going to the letterbox.

Prankster Ian then let out a fake dog noise which startled the postman.

As he walked out the garden gate, a neighbour said: "You alright?"

The postie said: "Yeah, he nearly had my fingers off."

Father-of-six Ian, said: "My two-year-old Lennon was pretending to be a dog. It was a spare of the moment thing.

"When we saw the postman as we were behind the door. I didn't mean to growl that loud or to frighten him to death.

"When he walks away the neighbour asks if he is alright. To which he replies he nearly had his fingers off."

He said: "Pretending to be a dog to scare the postman, watch your fingers. Made him jump."

One viewer said: "I feel bad.", while another added: "Poor guy."
